Senior Pastor - Rev Gary McClintock
After growing up on a pineapple farm in the Gympie area, Gary left home to study a degree in Applied Science at college and began teaching as a science and maths teacher at Charleville High School in 1986. It was during this time that he met his wife Leanne and together they moved to Bundaberg in 1989. In Bundaberg they joined the Wesleyan Methodist Church and discovered a church that was founded on Biblical teaching and a passion for reaching people with the gospel.
In 1991 Gary left teaching and was appointed as Youth Pastor at the Bundaberg Church and also took on responsibility for State Youth ministry and Leadership Training in the Wesleyan Methodist Church. In 1994 he and Leanne moved to Melbourne to study at Kingsley College and over the next two years achieved a Graduate Diploma in Urban Ministry and a Master of Arts in Ministry.
In 1996 Gary was appointed to Maryborough as the Senior Pastor and ordained in 1997. Gary and Leanne continued to minister there until early 2001 when, after a short break moved to pastor the Gympie Wesleyan Methodist Church in August 2001.
Gary's passion for teaching and leadership means that he loves seeing people grow and get excited about their faith and achieving their God-given potential through discovering and applying the Word of God.
Gary and Leanne have three wonderful children, Kimberley, Cameron, and Nathan, and a real desire to see them and others grow to be all that God would have them be. Apart from enjoying all kinds of sports and fishing, Gary loves nothing more than spending time with his family.
Assistant Pastor - Iain McGill

Iain is married to Sonia, and they have five beautiful children; Anna, Micah, Isaac, Joshua, and Timothy. Iain and Sonia moved to Gympie in December 2007 and began at Gympie Wesleyan Methodist Church in 2008.
Iain brings to Gympie ample experience in evangelism and community outreach work. He is passionate about his relationship with God, and longs to see real people experiencing a real and relevant relationship with Jesus Christ. He believes that a genuine relationship with Christ is worked out in visual and practical love towards others, regardless of cultural, racial, and religious differences.
Iain's gifts lie in the areas of evangelism and biblical teaching, and he loves relating the core doctrines of the bible in everyday language with everyday people. Iain's role at the Gympie Church is concerned with pastoral care and community assimilation among other things.
Iain's weaknesses are his children, soccer, and chocolate, and he enjoys a good coffee in good company. He and Sonia have quickly grown to love the church and the people of Gympie and look forward to partnering the Lord in his work in the region.<-->
